Haven't seen a diary yet about this, probably the most important campaign issue. As of today, 84,000 more jobs were lost, and the unemployment rate has risen above 6% (and those figures are skewed low).
8 years of Republican rule have left the broad stock market lower than when they entered office; unemployment has increased tremendously; incomes for most Americans have declined relative to costs; gasoline prices have quadrupled; the US is now deeply in debt to China; the economy is only kept going by borrowing on the basis of the promise that future US taxpayers will pay the bill.
McCain/Palin have much to say about this last night???? Maybe during his big address??? No - it's tough out there, but, hey, you're a tough people.
